I teach secondary school maths from year 8 to year 12 (ages 11-16). My lessons are typically 1 hour to 90 minutes, depending on what suits the student.
My teaching techniques involve engaging the student by working through examples together, and highlighting and further focusing on areas they struggle with or could improve on.
I structure my lessons as follows:
A brief recap of the previous lesson.
What material will be covered in today's lesson.
Teaching the material.
Working through examples together.
Providing additional examples to be worked through alone.
