About Andrew
I am an accounting student at the University of Glasgow, having completed first year with consistently high grades and straight A's all throughout high school, winning the prestigious DUX medal for academic excellence in my 5th year.
I have had experience assisting classmates with homework and out of school queries all through the senior phase of high school and into university, giving me the chance to work on my ability to transfer knowledge. Additionally, in my last year of high school, I got offered the chance to become a classroom assistant in a junior maths class and even led a couple of lessons individually by the end of the year.
Furthermore, I succeeded in self-teaching myself the Advanced Higher Accounting course with an A grade in my sixth year of high school from a couple of books produced by Heriot-Watt University and nothing more.

I am looking to give lessons to those doing SQA accounting courses (National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher) as these are what I have the most experience with, experience I will look to augment with my knowledge gained from first year university study.
Due to the highly practical nature of the questions in these courses, I would look to structure my lessons to consist of a small introduction on the theory behind the topic (where appropriate) for better understanding, followed by a run through and explanation of the methods and tactics used to answer questions on the topics, before the main section of the lesson: doing as many practice questions as possible. I found that the single best way to learn the majority of the course is to practice and practice and practice questions until the method becomes almost second nature.
