About Sam
Hi! My name is Sam and language learning has always been a passion of mine. My undergraduate degree in French, German and Spanish has enabled me to become fluent in these languages and also helped me develop a deep understanding of what it takes to learn a language and how to cater language teaching to a wide range of abilities. I believe teaching is my calling and I plan on doing a TEFL course so that I can live abroad and teach English. Thank you and don't hesitate to message me with any queries.

In my teaching, although I do like to dedicate some time to grammar concepts, the most important thing is putting it into practice through speaking, reading, and translation exercises. It is difficult to make progress in a foreign language if you are too hesitant to practise and potentially (most likely) make mistakes, which is why speaking practice will be an integral part of my lessons. I have previous experience doing casual tutoring in languages and I recently completed a degree in Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Sheffield. Lessons are suitable for GCSE and A level.

Sam is a great teacher, he is really patient and kind whilst making the lessons fun and engaging. Sam really boosted my confidence, when working towards my German A-Level, and I could see a massive improvement in my marks and German (reading, writing and speaking). I would not hesitate to recommend Sam’s lessons for anyone wanting to learn/work on their languages.
I’ve just started with french and Sam’s been really patient and enganging. The classes are well organized, he gave me extra material to read and his explanations are very clear. I highly recommend him.
