About Emily
I am Emily Cummins, an undergraduate student studying English literature and language at degree level. I've been through high school, struggled through revision, pulled all nighters scribbling notes for an essay and even spent hours memorising the pages of Sparknotes. Throughout all of this I wish I had been interested in English, in reading, in languages in general. A passion for the subject would have made life so much easier, so after my GCSEs I decided to revisit this interest of mine and, sure enough, my A-levels were a breeze because I had something that had been missing throughout my GCSEs. Fun. I will make your learning experience fun.

High school can be difficult. GCSEs are a lot of pressure. Students get burnt out, become disinterested, lose focus and stop caring. I want to stop that from happening. Whether the student requires help with essay writing, spelling, reading, or simply confidence, I want to provide that help in a way that won't feel like school. In a way that will resonate with them. Using fun and new techniques I'll do my best to ignite their passion for reading, fuel their interest in language, and show that English is not only a skill needed for GCSEs, but also for their future.
