About Vaidehi
With over 3 years of violin teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, I specialise in contemporary repertoire grounded in classical technique. My lessons focus on developing strong bowing technique, vibrato control, and expressive phrasing. I support students in mastering orchestral excerpts and excelling in ensemble settings. Preparing for ABRSM and Trinity exams is a regular part of my teaching, ensuring students are exam-ready with confidence. I emphasise musical interpretation to help players communicate emotion in Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles. Orchestral coaching experience gives me insight into ensemble dynamics and professional standards. My teaching approach balances technical rigour with creative freedom, encouraging students to develop their unique sound. Whether a beginner or advanced player, I adapt lessons to individual needs. I believe in fostering discipline alongside artistic exploration. My goal is to help students combine tradition with modern expression on the violin. I use a clear and systematic method to teach sight-reading on the violin. We focus on mastering ledger lines, understanding complex rhythms, and reading multi-part scores. This approach builds a strong visual-to-finger connection that helps you read music fast and accurately. I enjoy working with Musical Theatre Enthusiasts and Worship Singers who want to improve their reading skills. My lessons include practical drills to recognise notes and rhythms instantly. You’ll learn to decode sheet music quickly so you can play new pieces confidently from the start. I break down challenging sections step-by-step for better understanding. Regular practice and repetition are key parts of my method. I aim to help you feel comfortable sight-reading in any situation. Each lesson is tailored to support your individual goals and style. We also work on applying these skills directly to your favourite music. I believe reading fluency unlocks creative freedom and better performances. You’ll build speed, accuracy, and confidence with every lesson. Together, we will make sight-reading a strength that enhances your entire violin journey.
