About Ellen
Hi! My name is Ellen and I am a self-professed nerd! I love to read, anything really but Harry Potter will always be my favourite obsession. I love English because reading and writing are gateways to so many different worlds. Sometimes, life can be a little grey and literature is my splash of colour! I love to teach, to inspire and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students improve and gain in confidence. Whatever your goal is, I've got you. Whether you want to achieve the highest grade possible or you just want to make sure you pass, we can do it together!

My approach to teaching depends on YOU! Every child is different and no person learns in the same way so I will always adapt my teaching methods to fit my student. I am a bright, bubbly person and I love to make learning fun but I do expect my students to work hard and put the effort in too. I have an LLB in Law and an MSc in Psychological Sciences. I have been tutoring online and in person for 5 years. I teach KS2-4, so Years 3 - 11. I specialise in GCSE Prep! I also have quite a bit of experience teaching adult learners who wish to improve their English for the workplace or other professional goals.
