About Isobel
i am a student at exeter university currently in my first year. Previous to this i studied chemistry biology and maths at A level at a grammar school located in bournemouth. As part of my volunteering at my sixth form i helped to tutor younger students in both biology and maths, the students were all different ages and standards, doing this helped me to learn how to customise my style of teaching dependent on the way in which the individual learns and understands best.

i am a first year student, and so teach students at GCSE level and below, as well as occasionally helping with those who need help in biology at A level. For biology the structure of my lessons consist of going through all the theory to do with the topic at hand, using examples as well as diagrams to help the students to understand before going through some practise questions to test their understanding and help to identify any issues if there are any present. For maths the structure differs slightly, i go through the basics so they can write down the rules of the topic and then go through some practise questions step by step showing the student how to answer the questions before getting them to attempt some themselves and helping if they get stuck.
