About Aseel
I'm an IT graduate with a passion for the Arabic language. I'm looking to turn it into a fulfilling teaching career. I have demonstrated my knack for teaching as a university peer tutor, a home tutor and as an Arabic Reading Teacher in a private school. My dream is to become an Arabic teacher for non-native speakers to share my love for Arabic and to better represent my heritage to the world.
Hearing non-natives speak, or even attempt to speak Arabic, warms my heart. Especially because Arabic is relatively difficult to pronounce and considerable in its grammar. Therefore, students of Arabic are special in my eyes as they have demonstrated an interest and commitment to learn my beautiful language, no matter how difficult or long the journey may take them. The reward is knowing the richest language in the world (over 12 million words!), reading highly-regarded works of literature and poetry, gaining a deep understanding of the cultures and main religion of the Arab world; Islam. And finally, getting to know Arabs for the friendly, generous, and hospitable self they are and no amount of negative representation can dispute these facts!
