About Marin
With a background in Microbiology and over eight years of teaching, I’ve devoted my career to making biology vibrant and intellectually rewarding. My fascination began in university labs where I realised that each cell carries both history and potential—a universe within itself. I bring that wonder into every lesson. My approach combines clarity with curiosity: explaining complex systems through relatable analogies, stories, and modern examples that make even molecular biology feel alive. I help learners see connections between genetic code and real-world challenges like antibiotic resistance or bioengineering. I also guide students in using digital biology tools like NCBI databases and BLAST, empowering them to explore real datasets and experience the thrill of discovery. For many, this turns biology into an interactive journey rather than passive learning. My mission is to inspire future scientists, doctors, and thinkers who understand that life’s beauty lies in its complexity—and that through biology, we can learn to understand, protect, and innovate within the living world.

My Biology lessons are designed to awaken curiosity about life—from molecules to ecosystems. We begin with foundational topics like cell structure, molecular genetics, and evolution, then expand towards physiology, bioinformatics, and environmental biology. Every concept is presented through visualisation, real-world examples, and practical reasoning. I use animations, case studies, and lab-style problem-solving to bridge theory and application. For instance, while explaining DNA replication, students might simulate mutations using computational tools, linking structure to genetic variation. These activities promote hands-on understanding and analytical skill. Each session builds scientific reasoning step-by-step. I emphasise not only what biological systems do, but how and why they function, using cross-disciplinary links to chemistry, data science, and medicine. This fosters a holistic view of biology as both a natural and technological science. Students are encouraged to think critically about experiments, interpret data, and connect biological theory with current global issues—like climate change, genomics, or healthcare innovation.
