My teaching methods are based on a wider variety of pedagogic practices to reinforce learning. This includes lectures, discussion and active participation, and encouraging spaced repetition and review to improve retention. I deliver my sessions through very informal lectures that start from the beginning.
I believe in simplifying the science concepts based on everyday experiences, then building up on those basics, stressing on the kind of questions that examiners ask, what variations of the questions one can be examined on, and giving time to read/practice and come back with problems.
I will happily give lessons from standard grade / GCSE or equivalent up to degree level and structure my own learning around visualisation so I will implement a lot of that into your learning. I not only want to provide guidance in learning biology but also happy to discuss your career path and direction in which you want to go / what working in biology is really about.
I firmly believe that achieving an amazing grade must rest on having a strong foundation in the subject. I aim to solidify core knowledge, then build upon that to get students to the level they need. I will also aim to help explain challenging concepts to my pupils, and find example questions that will prove to be helpful.
I identify the exams that I am teaching for, the level of the student and the weaker areas of the student in that particular subject. I use my own knowledge and previous notes as well as books and online resources to help my students develop a stronger understanding of the topic and then I build from there. I assess students using questions.
My teaching methodology is tailored around the student. for example, if you are struggling with the way genetics is being taught in class I can develop a new and innovative way to explain things. I also find that schools provide only one way of learning things, it can be very helpful to have me provide a few different ways to approach exams and revision.
My teaching method comprises of first explaining the very basics of any topic and to understand the concept, as such a process helps in tackling the major issues and makes learning more easy.
Trying to utilise my knowledge and teaching resources to explain the topic in detail, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
I believe in customizing the lesson and a lot of out of the box tricks to make it both fun and effective for students to learn Arabic/Hebrew. Passionate about International Relations and Global Affairs that no mat-ter how hard the subject may seem for you I'll infect you with my pas-sion and you would enjoy the lesson.
It's mainly understanding the difficulties faced by the student in their subject and focus on the academic requirement. As each student has a different approach towards a subject, a tutor mainly needs to understand that approach and help the student out. Tutoring by a systematic lesson wise method and more focus on the difficult part is my main main.
My teaching style is through interesting associations that help memorising tricky names and processes.
My teaching method include complete description of the topic and analytical approach to correlate it with normal life of individual
I begin the first lesson with long term objectives and a desired date you'd like to meet them. If you're phased by deadlines we will still set objectives and assess whether we've met them as we go along. Objectives can change each lesson or over a few lessons.
My teaching method is very simple relying on the student to guide where the lessons go and the pace that they go at. I have several methods of teaching which allows me to work with all different types of people.
I think the best way to learn, is through conversation. Especially with a heavy content subject like biology, the best way that I revised and memorised my materials during my degree was through talking to my friends about it. Despite the vast amount of memorising required, there is beauty in biology.
I stick exclusively to the task in hand of getting you through this particular academic hurdle so that you can get on with the next phase of your life. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Biology only. - Tell me about your qualifications. B.A./M.A. (Oxon.) in Zoology from Oxford University (Exeter College).
My teaching method is that of asking questions to help students understand concepts better by their own derivation rather than rote learning. I believe that efficient learning brings the best outputs. My classes range from simple middle school explanations to complex scientific problems to MS levels of experiment design and other classroom learning.
I am flexible and happy to either work through wider subject content or focus on a specific concept. I do prefer to be informed ahead of time what concept/s you would like help with as this allows me to prepare material and questions etc. I generally teach online over skype but am open to personal sessions.
My teaching method is very simple: I try to help the student understand the topics they feel less comfortable with in a very interactive and easy manner.
My focus is to build strong fundamentals. Each student is different, so is the teaching pattern. A regular home work and assessment is part of the tuition. I also provide revision notes. Few toppers at Independent and Grammar schools are my students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths and Science at A Level, GCSE, KS3, KS2 and 13+, 11+ - Tell me about your qualifications.
I enjoy teaching students at GCSE Level. I have knowledge in Physical Education, all science subjects and History. I believe an effective method of teaching is to initially use textbooks to ensure there is an understanding of the concepts and then use past paper questions to translate the knowledge in a way that ensures exam success.
As an expert online science tutor, I will guide you in building up your understanding of science, so that you make your own sensible "story" rather than feeling you are carrying a collection of random, unrelated facts. Exams don't have to be a trial. I will coach you in exam techniques so that you understand what a question is asking you to do, and can tackle it with real confidence.
I sincerely believe that excellence is addictive. My idea is to explain complex concepts in a simple way and build on the student's confidence level thus assisting them realise their true potential . - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths and Chemistry at GCSE level Chemistry up to A Level - Tell me about your qualifications. B. Sc.
I'm a Second-Year Vet student at the University of Surrey. The level of biology I'm learning at the moment means that I'm more than equipped to help GCSE and A-level students pass their exams. Having done my GCSEs and A-levels, I feel like I am able to provide a students perspective to the curriculum in order to help current students understand tricky concepts.
I prefer to create practice questions to determine which areas the student is good at and which they're not too confident in. Once I can pinpoint the areas they're struggling with, I go in-depth trying to explain the how and the why, to make sure the student can understand what's going on and not just memorize it. After that, how well they understood it I can test with more practice questions.
