My teaching method is quite flexible and will often depend on each individual student and their preferred learning styles. I base my lessons around the current curriculum - can be AQA/Edexel/OCR (for GCSE or A-level) or up to KS3 level. I tend to approach each topic in smaller sections and break core units etc. down into easier to absorb sub-units.
My own learning method is not about memorisation, but about understanding the problem and systems as a whole. I believe this leads to true understanding. I approach my teaching in much the same method; if you have a rounded understanding, anything which is forgotten can be worked out.
I am a PhD biotechnology student at the University of Nottingham. I tutor undergraduate and master's students in biotechnology and related subjects. I help students to understand their subjects better through critical thinking and analysis. I also teach students how to read and understand journals batter as well as how to prepare manuscript for publication.
I believe in customizing the lesson and a lot of out of the box tricks to make it both fun and effective for students to learn Arabic/Hebrew. Passionate about International Relations and Global Affairs that no mat-ter how hard the subject may seem for you I'll infect you with my pas-sion and you would enjoy the lesson.
Tutoring Approach: Comprehensive, combining mentoring and tutoring, establishing motivation, deductive methods for solving problems, tackling questions with ' Pyramid Technique'. Time and stress management in solving problems. Question-based exam preparation.
My teaching is tailored to your needs and learning preferences. There are two main types of lesson: One is subject focused tutorials. For example, if you struggle to understand a scientific concept, I will plan a tutorial around that subject to help you make sense of it. If desired, this kind of lesson can be supplemented with homework that tests your understanding of the subject.
I am an experienced science teacher and tutor I love to see my students making progress. I make learning fun by using a variety of teaching styles. I always embed lots of exam questions and notes into my lessons to ensure the learner has the tools to succeed.
I have studied Biology in college achieving a Distinction* (A). I will now be studying Biology at a degree level. My lessons are all rounded and I believe in really engaging with my students in order to help them understand the concepts presented in Biology.
SPANISH: - Native and fluent in spanish, achieving an A* at both GCSE and A-level, speak only Spanish at home - Able to give tutoring in writing (spelling, grammar etc), as well as conversational practice to anyone ranging from beginners to A-level standard.
I like to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible, with loads of questions, quizzes and small games. Also, I think independent learning is important too, so the lesson would also include discussions on the topic and the student can ask questions from his own research on the topic.
Online tutoring or tutoring in central London, using different methods to help pupils learn in the best way: tests, essay writing, quizzes, drawing, reading etc. I can tutor A-level students (or IB students, but preferably A-level students). Subjects tutored: History (up to A2 level), Chemistry (AS), Biology (A2), French (A2) and Law (I have completed two law modules at the LSE).
I have a student centered approach to learning; I believe that it is vital for students to be able to participate and engage in their learning.
My teaching method is based on how the student learns best. My biggest aim as a tutor is to encourage critical thinking and practice exam strategy. My most popular teaching method has been to take a topic, and explain the topic by drawing pictures and diagrams while explaining, and then asking the student to try and explain it to me.
I'm a Second-Year Vet student at the University of Surrey. The level of biology I'm learning at the moment means that I'm more than equipped to help GCSE and A-level students pass their exams. Having done my GCSEs and A-levels, I feel like I am able to provide a students perspective to the curriculum in order to help current students understand tricky concepts.
I currently tutor students from Primary school up until GCSE in maths, chemistry and biology.
I will ask you what you need to practice/learn/work on and what you would like to gain from the service. Whether that just be notes, explanations or help going over past papers. The tutoring will specially be tailored to each student.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
Many persons describe me as fun and chilled. I am hardworking and always make sure that I attack all tasks given to me to the best of my ability. I love teaching not just as a means of working but as a hobby.
I approach each topic with a strategy based on the student, inspiring students and getting to the bottom of their weaknesses is my best tactic. Once they uncover their potential their grades increase drastically. I have been tutoring since my second year at University, I can teach from under 11's up to degree level.
Every individual learns differently and has different aims; therefore, I believe teaching must be bespoke. I want my students to feel at ease in making mistakes and help them to profit from it. Plus, I have the patience and ardour to ensure my students find enjoyment in learning and overcoming obstacles.
I give lessons up to GCSE level in Biology. My method of teaching is primarily a fun example based approach and I like to work through specific questions from students, helping them with further examples as appropriate. I am happy to teach all exam boards.
A final year Neuroscience student at Kings College London, I'm a friendly and enthusiastic teacher with lots of experience teaching maths and biology at high school level. I have a real passion for the sciences and would bring every topic in your curriculum to life.
I tend to tutor via Skype, which involves preparing in advance to ensure my students receive structured lessons. The first session consists of a 'traffic light' system whereby my student considers which topics they are most/least confident in. I then analyse which learning style suits my student best and then design a tutoring programme based on this; every student is individual.
My name is Laura and I give science lessons to primary and secondary school pupils, primarily on Biology but also have a working knowledge of chemistry and physics. My techniques are highly interactive getting the student to be heavily involved in the lessons so they feel in control of their learning.
I aim to help you understand and enjoy biology by breaking down the most complex topics into their fundamental constituent parts, highlighting key links between topics in order to help you break through the potentially confusing barrier of jargon heavy textbooks and exam papers.
I offer Biology, Chemistry and Psychology lessons up to AS level. I use a student-centred, high tech and kinesthetic approach within my sessions. This means I will coach and facilitate the students learning and their overall comprehension of the material.
My teaching method involves use of short tests structured by myself from the topics the student is learning to establish problems areas. Once the problem areas have been identified, each topic would be dissected into different parts and with the aid of visuals such as study maps and videos, I will explain the different aspects and try to find inter-relations between topics.
Dear students! I was an A level student just as yourselves, and I am open to giving lessons to anyone who is struggling with their A levels, regardless of where you are or think you are in your exam grades! My techniques in teaching, are short snap-revised video lessons or using pictures as well as in typing, depending on the subject topic at hand, in a cohesive, short and easy to understand...
I believe that the best teaching methodology is through understanding. Once you properly digest the biological principles it becomes easier to regurgitate and manipulate that information on exam days. I didn't like lessons where I was basically told to just learn the mark scheme and do comprehension work, so I don't intend to tutor that way.
I've been teaching for over 5 years, mainly Scuba diving and fitness training. Let me tell you, that teaching someone how to scuba when they are afraid of water is very tricky and will only work with confidence and trust.
