About Kristin
I am a woman in my early fifties, a mother, academic researcher and creative arts worker. I have a PhD in a humanities subject and am a published academic writer. I am a highly experienced teacher at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including thesis supervision. I am precise and professional but I also think learning should be fun and collaborative. Me as a tutor
I am grounded and compassionate. I am also precise and demanding; I will challenge you and set you up with written and verbal English skills that will serve you way beyond your university career. I have an undergraduate degree, two MAs and a PhD. I have also had a professional career in performance. I bring you my expertise in academic writing and in presentation skills. I have taught at all levels of the UK education system up to and including graduate thesis supervision.
These lessons are for undergraduate and postgraduate students of any age. I am happy to work with native English and American English speakers as well as overseas students and neurodivergent people (dyslexic, autistic etc.).
