About Ben
I, as a composer, have always felt it necessary to learn the way all my favorite composers learned. So I tend to teach counterpoint from Fux’s “Gradus ad Parnassum”, used by Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and many more. For harmony, I teach from different sources depending on your level.

I am a composer and complete music theory nerd. I would love to help you find your personal voice as a composer, or help you pass your theory tests if you are just looking for some help in your studies as an instrumentalist! I will teach a very fun way, always with and emphasis on what ACTUALLY SOUNDS GOOD, not simply what follows “the rules” of music theory.
