Born in Ecuador, South America, my family immigrated to Minnesota back in 2008. I know exactly what it feels like to try to grasp a completely new language... I understand the pain points and also what helps and doesn't help. The key factors that in most cases is missing from spanish lessons is having having someone who ACTUALLY speaks the way the people speak outside of books. No one speaks english the way books teach it...it should be the same with Spanish. I love to fully emerge individuals into the conversation slowly as they ramp up and get more comfortable in the language.
