About Maddie
I am a sixth form student and I have been working with children through babysitting and reading groups with year sevens. I additionally did work experience at my old primary school where I mainly helped the children (who were foundation stage) with their reading and writing. I am predicted an A* in my English A-Level and I received a 9(A** equiv) in English language and a 7(A equiv) in English literature at GCSE.

My teaching methodology is fairly relaxed and friendly whilst still encouraging the children and helping them through advice and praise as well as humour! I will tailor the sessions to the child’s needs depending on what they need help with. For instance, if a child needs help with writing I will help them build skills throughout the sessions and then set them a ‘homework’ task which we can go over together the next session. It’ll be fun!
