About Tim
I have playing guitar and writing my own songs and music for over 30 years, and have been performing my own music since around year 2000. I have recorded six albums of my own material on which I sing and play various instruments as well as the guitar.
I have been teaching guitar on and off for over 15 years, and I find it very rewarding because I love witnessing people when they make some progress, and just getting to know different people, and how they all want something a bit different from playing guitar, and learn in quite different ways. I like supporting others to get the same kind of enjoyment and meaning from making music that I have have done.

My approach to tutoring aims to be relaxed, friendly, and intuitive, while also providing the necessary knowledge and tecniques for students grow and develop their playing in the areas they are most interested in. I aim to make the lessons fun and fresh. I will provide some teaching around music theory where it seems appropriate and useful to the student, and depending on each person's ability and preference.
As well as guitar on its own, I can also teach singing and songwriting with guitar or Ukelele as a single package, in whatever combination suits each student. Or I can teach songs for the student to learn to play on guitar as well as sing.
