Jon was really helpful giving extra support to my son during his GSCE preparations. He was very flexible and was able to switch between the 3 sciences at short notice depending on what was needed on any particular session.

Jon is fantastic tutor. He has been teaching my son since Y8 through the high school and A levels. My son had to catch up with his studies after ABI following a car accident and had special requirements. Jon was very professional, from the very beginning he established good rapport with the student. We started seeing results just after several weeks. During all these years my son developed great interest in science, not only he caught up with school program, but got fantastic gcse results (9 &8). He enjoyed lessons with Jon so much that decided to continue at A level. With his fantastic grades he is now heading off to Manchester uni to study Physics.

Jon was recommended to us as an A'level Biology tutor by a friend. We contracted for ten lessons with Jon visiting weekly to prepare her over the summer for her final year. We got positive feeback from our daughter from the first.

Jon’s response to our online search for an A Level Physics tutor for our daughter, with around six weeks before the exam, was typical of all his communications with us: prompt and clear. We booked one lesson to start with and got very positive feedback from our daughter so we booked ten more, with Jon visiting twice a week.

Our daughter had been revising and working through past papers for which her self-marking was indicating a C grade, B at a pinch. It was important to us that Jon was familiar with the exam board syllabus so we were reassured when our daughter reported that she could see folders for all the exam boards, including hers, on Jon’s laptop. During the lessons, our daughter presented Jon with some questions from past papers that she had found difficult. He demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the subject by guiding her through each of the questions without needing to be forewarned. He has supplied additional resources such as a presentation and the loan of a text book.

Jon has been utterly professional throughout the tutoring period. He has always arrived on time and we have been able to rely on him to help our daughter through this stressful time. It was obvious that he was interested in our daughter’s progress because he sent us messages, via the website, to keep us informed. He is very easy to get on with and immediately put our daughter at ease. We feel fortunate indeed to have found Jon and recommend him wholeheartedly.

I have known Jon for perhaps eighteen years. For approximately four of those years (up until around 2004) I held a senior position at the a school where he was employed as Head of Science.
I recall easily that Mr Comerford was a key member of staff, consistent in his delivery of well-prepared, versatile and properly-paced lessons. In the classroom, Jon showed a natural authority to match his command of the material. Equally, Jon is able to adapt to a changing curriculum, accepting demands made upon him without hesitation or complaint.
