About Audrey
A little about me! I am finishing my master's degree in education, my thesis subject is about vocabulary learning in adult learners of French as a second language. I have been working with University professors coming from outside of Québec province and needing to perfect their level in French in order to teach their very specific topic in university (engineering, computer science, kinesiology, biology, etc.), I also worked with people needing to succeed in a specific test from Québec in order to attest of their French level to be able to be a part of their professional order. One of the things I am most proud of was to be able to help one of my students who has dyslexia succeed in this test. Also, on a more personal level, I am an energetic person who loves sports like running, rock climbing, and hiking. I also really like cooking, music, and I own a dog. All those topics may be a part of the discussions, as well as all of your specific interests.

My lessons will focus on your goals. I like to build my lessons on the mistakes my students make. That way, I am not teaching what you already know, but what you still need to work on. If you start from scratch, I have a plan for beginners with 10 grammar goals, 10 vocabulary goals, and 10 verb goals to achieve. Once you are comfortable with those notions, we progress to what I call « level 2 », and I give you other specific goals to achieve this level. This way, you can progress faster outside of the class, if this is your desire! I have experience in teaching many different levels, from people who never spoke a word of French to people needing to master the language in work in this language, or in order to succeed at a test, so whether you know nothing or need someone really advanced classes, I am ready to help!
