About Nina
With 7 years of teaching experience and a BA in Music Theory (Violin Specialisation), I guide adult learners in reconnecting with the violin. My focus is on adult beginners and those returning after years away. I believe music should feel natural, expressive, and joyful. That’s why I teach through genres like folk, blues, worship, and easy classical. Improvisation is introduced step by step, making creative freedom accessible to all students. Lessons use simple exercises to build skill gradually. Ergonomic posture is a key focus, helping students play with ease and comfort. I also integrate mindfulness, encouraging learners to relax and enjoy the process. Each session is designed to be supportive and rewarding. Lessons are tailored to personal goals and interests. Confidence and creativity are nurtured alongside technique. My goal is to make violin study both meaningful and enjoyable. Let’s rediscover the violin at your own pace, with imagination and expression leading the way.

I teach violin with a clear focus on building sight-reading skills. My approach is systematic and designed to make music reading natural and stress-free. We start with rhythm practice, then progress to ledger lines and advanced patterns. Students are trained to connect their eyes and fingers quickly for smooth playing. This develops the ability to play unfamiliar music instantly. Complex rhythms and multi-part scores are included to expand fluency. I provide structured exercises alongside real repertoire for practical application. For Musical Theatre Enthusiasts, this prepares them for the fast pace of performance settings. For Worship Singers, it ensures confidence when adapting to layered parts in live music. Lessons are tailored but always follow a step-by-step method. I emphasise patience, mindfulness, and steady progress. With guidance and practice, learners gain both fluency and freedom. My goal is to make every student a confident reader on the violin.
