About Maddie
I have my BS in elementary education with a math concentration. I have 5 years of classroom teaching experience and have dabbled in 5th grade and middle school English. I loved creating meaningful relationships with students and getting them excited about learning. My teaching approach plays off of my patient and calm personality that pushes students to succeed!

With 5 years of classroom teaching experience, I have tools that work! I believe the scaffolded teaching approach works wonders. This looks like correct modeling of the skill, working through the skill together, and then the student performing the skill independently.
I know that we learn best when we are learning from someone who is knowledgeable and cares about what we are learning! Learning is meant to be engaging - it might be challenging at times, but the challenge is how we get smarter.
I'm excited to teach elementary students in grades 1-6 in math and reading.
