My MSc education, personal and professional experience is rooted in all aspects of Physical and Human Geography- including global work in Development, International Politics, and Environment. As such, I have a comprehensive and relevant overview of these subjects.
I prefer to teach students of any school age, or those of adult age who would like to begin learning these topics.
Lessons are adapted to each student, and what they respond to. I prioritise using current and practical examples to guide students through each academic topic- I want each student to complete each course having gained in-depth theoretical knowledge, as well as its relevance to the current global affairs. I have such a love for these topics, which I know is key in delivering lessons in an engaging manner. I will not lecture- I will encourage discussion, and tailor to interests as far as I can.
I am a patient and encuraging person by nature, which makes students feel comfortable to ask for help, and drive their learning.
I have previously taught English and Geography in Uganda, and want to share my love for all things global with new students. As a tutor, I want to ensure individuals leave with not just facts, but a real understanding of the world around them. I have worked in communities, with Governments, and at the sites of natural disasters. Bringing all of these together brings a great perspective to the topics at hand!
