I aim to bring out the best in every learner and so I always personalise every lesson to the individual student. I have a direct and honest, yet supportive and friendly approach to teaching. As an qualified and experienced teacher and examiner, I know what is needed to pass assessments.

My teaching style is very conversational and relaxed, looking at slowly building confidence by explaining, showing examples, with contextual information added for depth of knowledge and giving the basis of the knowledge. Running through examples is a key part of my tutoring before moving on to discuss and query the question in detail.
Drawing on my life experience as well as GCSE and A-Level curriculums, I will teach using all of the latest pedagogy techniques learned through my teacher training.
I focus my teaching in developing the skills behind writing strong essay answers and developing the critical thinking necessary to succeed in this subject. All essay subjects require a strong form of structure, and Geography is no exception. Thus, in my lessons I will carefully disassemble essay answers and rebuild them with the student, explaining step by step what makes a great answer.
One of my aims has always been inclusion, and a commitment to ensure that all students feel fully able to participate in the classroom, and school life. I believe in encouraging all abilities, and nurturing confidence.
I am able to offer lessons to any level of student, whether that is for GCSEs, A-levels, or degree-level.
I use many case studies and examples to teach key concepts covering many disciplines such as geography, geology, and archaeology. I also like to use visual aids to help students learn and develop. I provide a lesson plan for each lesson tailored to the students' requirements.
English and Geography were my favourite lessons in school because the teachers method of teaching suited my style of learning. Therefore, I would tailor lessons according to the individual learning style of the student (e.g. visual, auditory etc.) and plan them according to the goals of the student.
Hi, this is Cosmin, a recently awarded doctor in Sociology at Lancaster University. I am available to organise lessons on a broad range of topics in the fields of social and communication sciences.
I am currently a Head of History at a secondary school and have a wealth of knowledge on how to help students gain their target grades and achieve more. I have a proven track record of helping my students to gain success and progress in GCSE History, A Level History & Key Stage 3.
I am a great believer in tailoring my teaching methods to my specific students. As Einstein once said, "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life thinking its stupid." I am currently working mainly at KS3 level in a variety of core subjects, however I myself have studied up to degree level and will be starting my PGCE in September 2017.
My teaching method is based on the student(s) and how they and I feel will be the most suitable and effect way of learning whether it be one to one or group mentoring for example and whichever way creates a comfortable environment for the student to learn in.
My teaching method is very hands on and practical. I bring a lot of energy and passion for the subjects I teach. From primary basics, through to intellectually stimulating A-level contents. Starting very lesson with what you know, and ending every lesson with what you now know.
I think lessons should be exciting and engaging and work hard to plan learning activities that will not only help students to make academic progress but also foster enthusiasm for learning. I pay close attention to the different learning styles of students and am well practiced in dynamically assessing and responding to their needs and interests.
As a History student at the University of Exeter, I am used to discussing all aspects of the subject. I have specialised in modern history, which is quite popular in the final years of college and highschool. My approach is to combine theoretical concepts and ideas with practical assignments.
I believe students should be encouraged to assess their progress and understanding regularly to fully comprehend the level they are working at and how we can work to improve this. I think that students should be confident in their learning and be open when asking for any help and guidance so that they can attain their academic goals and do their personal best.
My teaching style is to be interactive with students. My lessons would be based around teaching the content but also being practical by past papers. I would outgoing and I would cater to each students needs such as areas of weakness. I would also ensure that lessons are fun and informative.
I will always give 100% to all of my students, and am fully committed to giving them the best learning experience possible. I encourage a relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring and try to make the learning experience more holistic and productive. Most of my students are long-term which I believe is the best way to ensure that the highest grades are achieved and the most is learnt.
My teaching method is to focus on the students strengths and ecourage them to build up confidence in that subject. I like to keep my lessons relaxed so that the student/s does not get stressed as I feel this is counter productive to learning. I am experienced dealing with students that have anxiety and self confidence issues, and helping them achieve at a pace that suits them.
I have three years of tutoring experience, having taught GCSE Sciences, Geography and English to clients both face to face and online.
My teaching method can be described as informal but also methodical. I prefer to understand the issues and problems and work from the bottom to work through the topic and ensure we know how answer questions properly for any level.
My teaching methodology is to breakdown the lesson into introduction, key words, key themes, case studies, key thinkers etc. I use interactive methods to ensure that the student has engaged with the lesson structure.I will ensure each session is centres around the individual student, their needs and their abilities.
I teach my classes up to degree level. In my classes, I utilise a number of different strategies and approaches based on the learner's preference for learning (visual, auditory, etc.). The aim of my classes is to make the learning fun! Lesson structures include a brief introduction and refresher on the topic at the beginning.
I will base my classes upon topics that I took at GCSE and A level. The classes will involve information on physical and human geography concepts while also including case studies that will relate to these key topics. At GCSE I achieved an A* in geography and at A level I got an A. My other subjects were biology, English language and literature and film studies. Overall I achieved 3 A's and a C.
My starting point is always to ask what the student is specifically wanting to get out of each session, and base lessons on that. The benefit of 1:1 teaching is that lessons are tailor-made to each student. No two lessons are the same. I prepare material beforehand and adapt it as necessary.
I am happy to tutor students up and in equivalent to A-level standards. I hope to structure lessons based around each individual students' optimum way of learning. As a tutor, I hope to be supportive of my students, in terms of the topic being taught, in addition to any of their other needs- such as personal statements and university applications.
I have a student-centered approach to teaching where the student and teacher have an equally active role in the learning process. I like to break down information and come up with fun and easy ways to understand and remember it and tailor my teaching to each individual.
I am a student who always enjoyed conversational lessons so this is what I try to bring to my tutoring at all levels (GCSE, A level and Undergraduate). I want the lessons to be full of asking questions with a loose structure often aided by a powerpoint. I am also willing to teach online.
I base my lessons around the individual needs of the student and feel that the best method to enable the student to learn efficiently is by getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. I am open to a variety of teaching methods and will use these accordingly.
