As a teaching method, I like to identify how an individual best learns, whether it’s auditory, visual or even kinaesthetically, and adjust my teaching style to fit this. For example I might help transform one’s notes and teaching resources so that the student can better understand the information. A lesson structure might look like addressing an area that a student has difficulties in, teaching them this material on a step-by-step basis and then having them try to complete a few practice questions or re-explain the concept learned back to me.
I am currently a medical student who was a peer mentor to secondary students for 3 years, teaching chemistry and biology. I also worked as a teaching assistant for three children piano classes for a year. I have experience working with students ages 6-16. I have an International Baccalaureate Diploma with Higher Level Biology, Chemistry and English Literature, and am currently enrolled in medicine at the University of Edinburgh. I am very patient, versatile in my teaching and a good communicator.
