About Filip
Hi! I’m Filip, and I have a passion for both music and languages. I’ve been studying and music for many years, I am a regular organist and accompanist for many different companies, and I’m fluent in Polish & English, having been born and raised in Poland. I started tutoring a few years ago because I genuinely enjoy helping others learn 1v1 in a way that feels supportive and clear. I know what it’s like to be a student and feel pressure, so I always aim to make lessons comfortable and encouraging. What motivates me most is seeing students make progress - seeing struggle at the beginning of the lesson change into confidence at the end is an inspiration to both myself and the student. I want to help others feel proud of their learning and enjoy the journey.

I take a friendly and patient approach to tutoring, always aiming to help students build both confidence and skill. Whether we're working on a musical piece or a language topic, I focus on breaking things down step by step, ensuring students understand each part before moving on. I pay close attention to detail, helping students avoid picking up bad habits and encouraging good practice from the start. My lessons are typically 30 to 60 minutes long (always changeable) and tailored to the student's needs, age, and level. I always try to end each session with something the student can confidently show - whether that's playing through a piece of music, understanding a grammar rule, or completing an exercise successfully. I have received top marks (A grades) in all relevant SQA subjects as well as distinctions in ABRSM qualifications, and have delivered over 36 hours of lessons through MyPocketSkill in the categories of "Music Coaching" and "Tutoring", with positive feedback from clients. My lessons are open to all ages (typically from 7 years and up), and I work with both beginners and those looking to advance their skills further - whether preparing for exams or learning for enjoyment.
