About Mari
Hi! I’m Mari, and I’m currently on a gap year before starting my Economics degree at King’s College London this September- a subject that, unsurprisingly, involves a lot of maths! I completed my A-Levels last June, and during sixth form, I volunteered tutoring GCSE students, which I really enjoyed. Now that I’m no longer studying maths every day, I genuinely miss it (as weird as that may sound!), so tutoring is a great way for me to stay connected to a subject I love while helping others succeed. I’m enthusiastic, patient, and I always aim to make my lessons both fun and effective. I strive to show that maths doesn’t have to be intimidating - with the right approach, it can actually be enjoyable!

I believe that every student learns differently, so I take a flexible and personalised approach to tutoring. I take the time to understand how my students learn best and adapt my teaching style to suit their needs, whether that’s through step-by-step explanations, visual aids, or plenty of practice questions. Having recently completed my A-Level in Maths, I know firsthand what works when it comes to understanding tricky concepts and retaining information effectively. My lessons are engaging, supportive, (dare I say even fun at times?!), and designed to build confidence in Maths. I tutor students from KS1 and KS2 to GCSE level, with sessions available online or in person if local.
