About Levi
With 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, I have dedicated my teaching to helping students connect with music in a calm and meaningful way. I believe that learning piano is not only about technique but also about creating a peaceful space for personal growth. Many students face stage anxiety or tension when performing, and I guide them through mindfulness and relaxation techniques to ease these challenges. Each lesson begins with simple grounding exercises, helping students stay present and focused at the keyboard. Through relaxed hand positioning, steady breathing, and mindful practice habits, students learn to play with both control and ease. My teaching emphasizes steady progress, celebrating small victories and encouraging patience in the learning process. In my piano lessons, I guide students to play with ease, awareness, and expression. We begin with seated posture, ensuring balance and comfort at the keyboard. Relaxed hand arches and fluid arm motion help create natural, effortless movement across the keys. I emphasize calm focus, allowing students to stay present and connected to the music.
Visual thinking strategies help students understand patterns, intervals, and shapes, making reading and memory smoother. Technique is built mindfully, blending precision with relaxation to avoid tension and strain. For those who need gentle motivation, I offer steady encouragement, celebrating each step forward with patience.
Creative students are supported in exploring their imagination, while others receive structured development to build strong foundations. Whether refining classical repertoire or exploring jazz harmonies, each lesson is tailored to the student’s personal journey. Together, we focus on shaping sound with meaning, not just playing notes.
