Does this question refer to advantages in a particular context, or in general? Perhaps a good starting point would be to think of what settings cyberspace is useful in. For example, you could say that it's useful for communication with friends and family using social networking sites such as facebook. It's also useful for learning, and other exchanges of information. There's also business advantages of being able to contact many people at one time for things like market research - the data basically collects itself once a questionnaire is set up. Being able to communicate via cyberspace can also increase participation in any research experiment as participants can be involved from the comfort of their own home and in their own time. The possibilities are endless for this essay so I would suggest sitting down and mind-mapping all the advantages you can think of. Pick a few key areas you would like to discuss and branch out from there. Also, as this is a "discuss" question, it's worth thinking about some disadvantages of cyberspace which are also linked to the advantages. For example, although social networking websites are useful for maintaining contact with family and friends over long distances, they can also facilitate cyber-bullying as bullies can become anonymous and cannot see the emotional reaction of their victims. Indirect bullying and the mass spreading of rumours can also be serious implications. If you would like a session to help you structure your answer and form a coherent argument, I'd be happy to do a private session with you. Hope this helps!

Ha - I just realised I made up the "discuss" part in my head. However, if this is an essay question, everything I said is still valid! If it's just a homework assignment which needs bullet points, the same things apply in terms of thinking of different settings cyberspace might be useful in. :)
