For example - 2 x -4

You treat them as normal numbers first and then use the following two rules:- two negatives result in a positivie answer or a negative and a positive result in a negative answer

Now because the two number sin the question were negative we use the first rule which states the answer is positive so - 2 x -4 = 8

Oh right i see, thank you, also if one of the sums are something like -7++6 does that mean you add it or take it away? im not sure

However, if you see two minuses together, they make a positive. So 7--6 or 7 - (-6) is equal to 7 + 6.

-7++6 is the same as -7+6, or just 6 - 7, so it = -1.
