# what is the next multiple of a number for e.g 13 multiple of 2 multiple of 10 5 3 and 4 what does this mean and how do you go about it?

Answers

Ok not too sure i understand your question as there are a lot of numbers together.
An easy way to understand what a multiple is, is to think of it as the numbers in a particular times table. For example the multiples of 3 are 3,6, 9,12, 15 etc

complete the table by the next multiple
multiple of 2 multiple of 10 multiple of 5 multiple of 3 multiple of 4

how do you find this out?

Well you have three numbers here 13, 14 and 20.
You must check which of these three numbers is in the 2 times table (multiple of 2) first. Only 14 and 20 are.
Then check which of these three numbers are in the 10 times table (multiple of 10). The answer is 20.
Do this with the multiple of 5, multiple of 3 and multiple of 4.
So the final answers are:-
Multiple of 2 - 14 and 20
Multiple of 10 - 20
Multiple of 5 - 20
Multiple of 3 - None
Multiple of 4 - 20
You can fit these into the table yourself.
Hope this helps, if not please add a comment
