About Leah
I am a 22-year-old student here in Liverpool who is studying Disability Studies here at Liverpool Hope University. Prior to this, I studied Musical Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed it. I work at a drama school and have been working in performing arts since I was 15, at dance and music schools. I have worked in several schools in Liverpool over the past few years, both mainstream and SEND, so I know how to handle challenging behaviour and work well with SEND needs. These schools have provided me with valuable training in phonics and I am Ruth Miskin Read Write Inc trained and have my own resources.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each child’s individual needs, and engaging to them. They pick songs of interest to them and I will find similar ones also to push their boundaries. I also work at getting a good relationship with the child so they're comfortable and not uneasy within their environment and what they're singing. In phonics, I use actions to help with their memory and to gain skills that will help them in their education.

Leah is a nurturing tutor on a one to one level, caring deeply about students' progress.
I have known Leah for a few years now as she is one of the teaches at my sons performing Arts classes. We have recently started singing lessons with her and she has been amazing.
My son has ASD and struggles to form relationships with people. Leah's understanding, patients and hard work has helped him come on lots. She has takin him out of his comfort zone, which is not easy to do with him, and has pushed him to levels that even he didn't know he could reach. He has so much more belief and confidence in himself, and his singing voice is certainly improving all the time.
Its fabulous to see him develop and grow in something he loves to do, and it thanks to Leah.

First lesson is not free. Half an hour is £10 both online and in person. Can do packages and pay via a monzo link that will be sent to parent via email, or WhatsApp depending on what is preferred, also can do bank transfer or cash in hand.
