About Francesca
A lot of students find working in a classroom scenario challenging. Lots of noise, other students talking across you, asking questions. Not feeling confident enough to ask for help? With 1:1 tutoring all of those worries disappear and you have the opportunity to ask anything you want to a specialist tutor with none of that background noise. I trained as a teacher very recently after my previous career no longer fulfilled me and I’ve never looked back. Teaching is so rewarding, especially in a practical subject where I feel I can get the best out of students and give them a sense of achievement at the end of my lessons. I teach both DT and Construction and I have a breadth of knowledge in resistant materials.

I can teach all key stages and I’m happy to be guided by whatever you’re currently learning in the classroom. I am happy to teach theory or practical lessons in the home, and theory online. Due to my recent training I have strong and relevant pedagogical teaching approaches and subject knowledge. The most important thing about DT is to make it fun!
