About Sora
HI! My name is Sora, and I am an 18-year-old tutor. I have 5 years of teaching experience through Korean school volunteering, children's camps, summer camps, church camps, babysitting, tutoring, and more. I am trilingual, able to communicate in English, Korean, and Japanese. I graduated with a high school diploma and an associate's degree in June 2025 through dual enrollment in a program called Running Start. This program has allowed me to take full-time college classes at Cascadia College, and I will be attending the University of Washington as a junior-level freshman this fall quarter with a major in linguistics and a possible minor in biochemistry. I love hanging out with friends, trying new foods, exploring and traveling with loved ones, walking my dog, hip-hop dance, and anything music! I'm always looking to make new friends and learn new things, reach out!

To prepare for upcoming lessons, I would choose a series of chords to teach when making lesson plans, depending on the students' skill level. Starting from chords, I would gradually move on to simple songs of my recommendation. I like asking my students a song they want to learn eventually, and getting there would be the first goal. I can start teaching in chords, and gradually get to fingerstyle if the student would like. Lessons and progress are dependent on the student; the "final" would be a performance of their choice to their loved ones!
