About Rupert
My name is Rupert. I went to Hampton School before heading off to Edinburgh for University. In my time at school, university and playing semi-professional rugby I have learnt the importance of good teachers and the value each has had on me personally. Recognising what has worked in my experience, I take pride in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their skills. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to spark genuine understanding and long-term academic growth. I am professional, reliable, and committed to every student’s success. My approach to tutoring is highly personalised and results-driven. I begin by identifying each student's strengths, challenges, and preferred learning style, then adapt my teaching accordingly in a structured manner. Lessons will typically run for 60 minutes, during which time we will review material, introduce new concepts, and reinforce understanding through guided exercises. I hold a degree in History and have experience tutoring students from being a cricket coach. My sessions are open for children from all ages whether they’re preparing for entrance exams for schools at 11+ or 13+, GCSEs, and A-Levels or aiming just to excel beyond the curriculum!
