My approach is understanding, from past experience of teachers/lecturers you can talk in great detail as much as you like but if its not in an engaging way the information will not stick.
I have an infectious interest in my subject, an affable personality and an insatiable appetite for knowledge. I work closely with students to evolve strategies to improve their academic self-sufficiency, developing the curricula and producing creative and exciting lesson plans accordingly.
Hi there! I'm a graduate in History from the University of Roehampton, an award-winning London University.
I am a university undergraduate studying Biomedical Science at Kingston University. I studied History in Primary, Secondary, GCSE and AS level before moving onto Access to Higher Education: Biomedical Science. I mainly specialise in 20th Century history as it is my favourite part to learn and research but can do a bit of Medieval history as well.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Exeter I have obtained a 2:1 in History and Ancient History with Study Abroad in Germany. My A Levels were History, English Literature and Mathematics, in all of which I attained 3 A grades. I feel that I am qualified to help with History to degree level, as well as English Literature, I studied English when I was completing my year abroad in Germany.
My teaching method is fundamentally collaborative. The pupil and I will identify the areas which need the closest attention and work together to create a comprehensive overview of their subject in accordance with the curriculum and exam specifications. The most important thing a pupil can take away from our sessions is a growing sense of confidence in their ability to master the subject.
My teaching method is conversational. Together we will explore all the evidence on display and make sure that we understand fully the meaning of each scenario. History can appear meaningless and confusing - but there are simple ways of tackling the past. Research and looking at things through fresh eyes are just as important as the words on a page.
While I have mainly taught university-level philosophy, I am able to cater to GCE A Level students as well. I teach my encouraging students to get familiar with the main texts and instil critical thinking skills by asking them challenging and interesting questions.
When it comes to teaching, I work around the student's abilities and goals. I consider what they understand and focus on the difficulties they face in a given subject. From this point onwards, lessons focus on teaching or re-teaching material, as well as recalling the learnt information through the means of exam practice.
I can offer extra support for students, breaking down any module in psychology, into a concise and easy to learn experience. I can do this through presentations, academic research handouts and enabling the student to gain familiarity with the modular content, through mock exam preparation and research skills enhancements.
I gained 5 A*s and 6 As at GCSE and 43 in the International Baccalaureate, I did this partially by knowing how to study for exams, a skill which I will teach in my lessons. I am a CELTA qualified teacher and graduate of History from Durham and have previous experience teaching classes and individuals.
I am a 21 year old graduate student living in South-west London looking to tutor children up to and including GCSE level. I cover all aspects of History and can tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual in order to provide a rewarding and stimulating experience.
My priority is always to make sure that students will find something intresting for them in the subject. Then I am always trying to get them to think about the processes rather than simply getting them to remember facts. That way they get tools whoch help them remember the facts more easily.
I absolutely love history. My undergraduate degree was in History and I'm currently doing my Masters in Public History. It's learning how to deconstruct and then create a narrative out of the facts of the past using logic and detective work. It's using analytical thinking and problem solving as well as having an open mind to the information in front of you.
I am educated to postgraduate level in Social Sciences from one of the UK's top universities and am a Qualified Teacher of History, Sociology and Citizenship. I facilitate students to be 'active learners' who are able to engage with and take responsibility for their own learning.
Giving lessons to primary, secondary and sixth form students currently studying for Exams. I am currently studying History and Latin American Studies which translate to my abilities in essay writing, research and taking in information. My degree is very flexible and so I have a historical background in European. East-Central European and Russian history but also North and South America.
I like to help people feel passionate and excited about the subject they are learning. It's important to stick to what is required on a syllabus, but to leave room for further contextual knowledge.
Hello! I am a philosophy student with a passion for both history and philosophy. I am also very competent at mathematics and am able to tutor at GCSE level proficiently.
My teaching is rigorous, engaging, fun and encouraging. I focus solely on the pupil and cater to their individual needs. Everyone is different so every approach I take will be uniquely catered to the student. I am your first step to success.
I am Borja Fernandez waiting to get a job as a teacher, I am Qualifyed to teach in secondary levels but I tutored children in the past from the ages of 8 to 17. As history is seen as boring subject I always had the intention of changing that vision and change the subject into something that the children would like.
I have experience in a wide range of humanities subjects (English and History A-level, and taking modules in history, politics, philosophy and sociology at university) and can tailor my lessons towards a specific subject, or towards more general skills which are useful across subjects, such as essay structure and exam technique.
I've studied ancient history and history for ten years, with a degree in the former and a significant interest in the latter. Lessons will be taught one on one, I can come to your house and we will go over everything on the syllabus in an engaging way.
Need help with your History GCSE/A-Level/Degree? Do you want to attain higher marks in your essays or exams? Are you writing a personal statement, or preparing to take HAT entrance exam? Highly attentive and engaging tutor with substantive experience in the social sciences. My methods of instruction seek to apply a wide range of thinking to a topic to ensure the best levels can be achieved.
I'm a 19 year old student who has grown up in London, currently doing History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. My method of teaching would be to help the student develop an effective essay writing technique that can work for any topic. I'd also be happy to help with any homework or project in the subject that the student maybe struggling with.
An experienced teacher from Australia with three degrees (Bteach, B Arts & Grad Certificate) with specialties in Geography, Drama, Religious Studies and Modern History. I believe every student has specific needs, and therefore no two lessons are the same. Expect the lesson to be tailored towards your specific needs with enough guidelines and support mixed with challenge to continue improving.
I am offering lessons primarily to secondary school students, at GCSE, AS and A level standard. I’m currently on my gap year and endeavour to give engaging lessons, tailoring them to the students needs; whether this be providing new ways of learning informations, going through past papers and testing student’s knowledge, essay planing, as well as helping to develop good revision strategies.
Simply if children are able to invest in the idea of learning, there is no limit to what they can achieve. I implement this in the classroom, engaging students with the content and ensuring that they actively process the information. I do this by introducing creative mechanisms and games to gain this investment and motivation.
I enjoy helping GCSE students tackle difficulties in their work, by identifying what they most difficult and finding practical solutions to these. As a visual learner myself, I particularly find it is helpful to teach using mind maps and timelines, but I believe it is most important to identify the best way that an individual learns and adapt to that.
I am a Durham University Student who is able to teach Geography, History and Biology up to A-Level and Maths up to GCSE! I love using combinations of teaching and practise essays, as I feel it is crucial to use a mix to get a good understanding of a subject!
