About Sara
Hi!
My name is Sara and I am currently studying English Language and Psychology at the University of Glasgow.
I absolutely love language and creative writing, being grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with other budding students who have yet to discover the simplicity and beauty of english as a subject.
I have previous tutoring experience, both voluntary (with The Inclusive Homework Club) and privately advertised. I also hold a full PVG which is available on request.
For younger students, I offer help with learning to read and write. This is done through small manageable chunks, also instilling good habits that will benefit them as they become more challenged academically.
For older students, I offer sessions focused on their level of secondary school english. As some components of the english course are flexible, I like to arrange material based off a students interests to keep them engaged. This is done in accordance with the SQA course specifications, working towards the goal of achieving their desired grade and enhancing their knowledge of the subject in general.
I also offer support with developing useful study skills - based off my own experience and backed by research - to help with both retaining and understanding information.
