About Sophia
With nine years of vocal coaching experience and a BFA in Vocal Arts and Opera, I love helping singers thrive. I specialize in contemporary worship and gospel music, but also teach Pop, Indie, and R&B. My goal is to help students build confidence, overcome stage fright, and connect emotionally with every song. Breath control, expressive phrasing, and vocal health are central to my approach. I also teach live performance skills, focusing on congregational singing and recording. I enjoy working with shy beginners, teen worship leaders, and aspiring recording artists. Each lesson is tailored to strengthen your technique while honoring your spiritual voice. Singing should be both technically strong and emotionally authentic. My teaching creates a safe, supportive environment for growth. Together, we explore your range, refine your style, and build stage presence. Every voice has potential, and mine is to help it shine. The teaching approach is designed to develop a strong, confident, and expressive voice. I focus on breath control, vocal resonance, and projection to create a natural, powerful sound. Tone shaping and vocal flexibility are included in every lesson. Students learn to master head voice, belting, and mixed voice. Lessons are personalized for The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner. Healthy technique is always a priority. Exercises are paired with songs to practice real-world performance. I guide students to connect emotionally with music while building technical skill. Lessons are structured, supportive, and engaging. We work on improving range, tone, and clarity. Each session is tailored to your voice and your goals. My aim is to help your voice shine at its full potential. You’ll feel confident, expressive, and ready to perform.
