About Linden
I have a decade of experience in running creative writing classes, workshops and programmes, and an MA in Creative Writing & Education (with distinction) from Goldsmiths, University of London.
I worked at award-winning creative writing charity Ministry of Stories in East London for four years. I ran weekly after school creative writing clubs for 8-15 year olds, both in their dedicated writing centre and in schools. Over this time I worked with hundreds of young people, and never got tired of their incredible imaginations, and the wonder of being able to help them express their stories.
I have also worked with many community organisations and charities over the years, and I have taught people aged 6-90!
I'm currently training to be a Forest School leader, and I'm passionate about learner-led education. I have a collaborative and compassionate style of teaching, and I meet learners where they are. I am patient, playful, and not easily fazed.
I write poetry and stories - my new pamphlet of eco poetry has just been published.

I offer tailored creative writing classes to support imagination, creativity, technique, and expression. For young people, this improves confidence, supports their writing at school, and helps them to build their imaginative range. For adults, this will give you inspiration and prompts to help you reach your writing goal, whatever that means for you. My approach is collaborative, kind, and joyful, and we will do plenty of laughing and dreaming as we go. Expect activities which stretch your imagination, take you to magical realms, and allow you to express things in ways you had never considered.
Is your child struggling with English at school? Do you want to find a new way to get them engaged? I offer a unique approach to building their confidence with writing through creativity. My classes are different from school lessons: they offer a different way into language, and they will build your child’s writing ability – I find fun, exciting ways to build a love of stories and words which ultimately re-engage them with English. Creative writing is a great way to foster a love of language and an ability to express thoughts and feelings: a brilliant foundation in many school subjects, and in life.
Does your child or teenager have a passion for writing or storytelling that you would like to nurture? I have worked with hundreds of young people to provide inspiration, tools, and direction for their imaginations, always with the aim of empowering them to create, imagine, and find their own voice.
Or perhaps you love writing, as an adult, and would benefit from some focussed support and inspiration? I work with people of all ages and levels of experience – whether you’re curious about getting started with creative writing or have an idea you want help realising, I offer supportive, responsive classes which will give you lots of tools and inspiration to take with you into your writing life.
I am committed to accessibility - I am neurodiverse and have done lots of work with other neurodiverse folks, and I would love to work together to make the sessions work for you or your young person.
I am also happy to teach small groups if this would make it more financially accessible for you.
I have a particular interest in nature writing, fantasy fiction, and poetry, and I have taught many many kinds of writing over the past ten years – from comedy to diaries to life stories to spoken word. Sessions don't have to be limited to writing indoors - we can go outside and write about sensory experiences, do creative scavenger hunts, or create poems out of words we find - whatever works best.
