About Jessica
I am a singing tutor with 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (Lieder/Art Song). I specialise in vocal improvisation for jazz and blues singers, teaching scat singing, melodic embellishment, and advanced harmony. My lessons balance ear training, scale and chord theory, and developing a unique improvisational voice. I focus on building strong technique while nurturing creativity and self-expression. Every student receives personalised guidance tailored to their goals and level. I work on performance skills, stage presence, and musical understanding. Improvisation becomes approachable, fun, and deeply expressive under my guidance. I emphasise confidence, control, and musical intuition. Lessons are interactive and structured, ensuring steady progress. I help singers unlock their authentic voice while mastering the nuances of jazz and blues. I focus on building a strong, healthy voice through foundational techniques. Lessons emphasise breath control, diaphragmatic support, and stamina building. For The Suzuki Student and The Orchestra Member, I provide specific drills to improve vocal stability. Lessons also cover phrasing, tone quality, and expressive performance. I guide students to develop confidence in their voice. Exercises are practical, structured, and easy to follow. I encourage consistent practice to strengthen endurance. Each session balances technical skill with musicality. Students gain control, clarity, and vocal power. My goal is to help learners sing stronger, longer, and with freedom.
