About Adela
I grew up in the Austrian Alps before moving to beautiful Vienna for my undergraduate studies. My cultural and linguistic curiosity led me to France (where I lived for 1.5 years to complete my M.Sc. degree), the U.K., Denmark, and the U.S. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. studies in neuroscience at McGill. Languages are my secret passion – apart from German, English, and French, I also speak Slovak, Spanish, and a little bit of Japanese.

The aim of my classes is to create a pleasant environment where you can overcome your fear of speaking German. My classes are well-structured with many exercises, and can be adapted to your learning goals and needs. Together, we can work on improving your skills in various aspects of the German language (speaking, grammar, vocabulary, etc.). I can teach you in French or English. Please note that I am only available Monday-Friday after 6PM and that the duration of my lessons is 50 minutes.

Adela is a great tutor! She helped me learn the grammar rules, some vocabulary and word order of the German language. She made it easy to learn. She’s very friendly and nice. I highly recommend her.
I have been fortunate enough to take online classes with Adela for some time now and I have nothing but positive things to say about her.
From our first contact, she was friendly and respectful. We quickly structured a lesson plan together based on my needs and also taking into account some common interests. In doing so, the discussions are fluid and natural. Each lesson is well prepared and covers different topics of the German language/culture.
