Hello, I’m a German graduate student in philosophy at the University of Oxford. I was born and raised in Germany and received my first academic degree from the University of Leipzig in Germany.
Nobody will ever get a real feeling for a language through a book. The famous 70:20:10 Learning model shows that most people most effectively learn (70%) through experience, 20% through others and 10% from a book. Tutoring perfectly covers the 70% and 20% in this model. My lessons focus on hearing and speaking the language which ensures long-term learning rather than 'bulimia'-learning.
I approach teaching languages always from what people are most interested in and on their level of knowledge.
My teaching method depends on the pupil. No child or adult is like the other and the challenge is not only to learn the language, it is do work out how to do it with fun and in a natural, easy way.
I aim to provide engaging and detailed lessons to students at all linguistic levels.
My teaching method is very much word association and role play. I feel this makes classes fun and makes the learning much easier. Lesson plans are structured in units with review and testing once units are completed. Learning is meant to be fun.
My lessons are all tailored to your needs - conversation, verbal skills, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, business or technical French. I base my methodology on fixing errors together in grammar and pronunciation. Always in a patient and friendly manner. Challenging, yet fun lessons to improve your skills.
I think that the most important thing as a tutor is first to establish a relationship of trust with the student, so that they feel comfortable taking risks during the learning process. Once this in place, I like to walk logically through the key principles of the material, using both visual and aural techniques in order to maximize learning.
I usually give lessons to a wide range of degree levels from primary school to university level. I base my class on what the student is currently doing and where the student is struggling. Furthermore I am a calm and patient person and fit in with the time my students need.
Hi there! I'm Sara and I love teaching languages! I have been giving private German and Japanese lessons for a few years now, and have decided to finally offer my services online. The most valuable lesson I have learned myself from teaching many different people is that nobody acquires language, or any knowledge for that matter, via the same ways and methods.
Have had a passion for learning and languages especially - the ability to connect, communicate and learn about, share with fellow humans around the world - to widen horizons, open doors, explore possibilities and travel. Originally from Germany, I have lived, studied and worked in Great Britain (as well as in Germany) for twenty plus years successfully.
I impart new knowledge with the help of perceptual pedagogy, experiential pedagogy and I adapt myself to my students and their individual needs. I start the lesson by first clarifying what the student's goals are. Then I want to find out where the student's needs and difficulties are.
I analyse the goals of students with various needs and created lesson plans tailored to the requirements of each individual. Immense ability to explain the complexities of German grammar. Excellent experience in German language translation, and interpretation. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and teaching German.
I approach my lessons with 3 main focal points. First, the integration of new material in your repertoire should be concise, logical, and therefore connected with existing information. Secondly, the pace of a course should increase exponentially, by starting slowly and becoming more and more intense, as your skills will develop with an equal speed.
Hello all, I am offering qualified German-lessons or private tuition. I am a native speaker of German and have lived in Cologne for more than 20 years. There, I have obtained my A-level and now I am currently an university graduate holding a Bachelor's degree in education. My subjects are English and Sports Science.
I am a second-year student of Language & Linguistics and offer to give lessons in German to anyone who would like to take some. As a native speaker of German and fluent speaker of English, I believe I am qualified to teach on any level necessary. The method of teaching depends on what you would like to focus on.
After an initial little assessment of your German skills (if any ;) ), I am happy to elaborate a teaching plan according to your interests and needs in topics and methods. We can discuss European politics, social movements, food or culture. We can read newspaper articles, academic papers or children's stories together.
I am a qualified teacher and a proud mother to fabulous a 8-year old who grows up bilingual. I am from Vienna (Austria) but I also lived for a number of years in the German speaking part of Switzerland. My youngest student was 3 years old and my oldest 83.
Teaching is a lot about personality. I will personalize my lessons to fit YOU and your individual language skills. As a native speaker, I am able to teach all levels but have specific German teaching experience at university level.
I am a native German speaker, living in England for the last 17 years with broad experience in teaching in the English secondary system. I am very young by heart and very approachable and very happy to create tailor made lessons to cover your requirements. Recent posts held include teaching from KS3 - A2 classes and I am as well familiar with the IB program syllabus.
My teaching method is each student is different, I am very adaptable and will discuss what works best for my students so that they do not feel stressed or under pressure. I would also try and make each lesson a bit fun as I do understand that sitting listening to somebody talk for an hour can be non- beneficial.
I teach German as if you live in Germany,my lessons are based on the students needs and I am very methodical.I try to make it fun and interesting.
I have run several educational departments, so I not only know how to teach students but also how to teach teachers. In addition to my BA in German, I have a Masters degree in applied linguistics, and am a very well qualified language teacher with two Cambridge DELTA certificates to boot. I take time to individualise my teaching for the student, and then make sure they are continually engaged.
My teaching method is relaxed yet attentive, and I like to move at the student's pace while pushing them to achieve their potential in whatever we are working through together. I strongly believe that being passionate and motivated affects one's performance and quality of learning, and do my best to share my passion for languages with my students.
I'm a student from Germany currently living in the Black Country and looking to give lessons in German as well as helping with translations and accent reductions. I started working as a tutor whilst in high school and have taught and improved grades of students ranging from high school to adults interested in learning German.
My lessons are tailored to your needs and objectives. I take a natural learning approach where you learn through role play as someone would learn the language if he flew over to germany and lived there.
I base my teaching on working from the ground up and learning the basics first.
Ma méthode d'enseignement est basée sur le savoir faire et le savoir parler de mes élèves à qui j'essai toujours de les faire comprendre les enseignements à la manière qu'ils le souhaitent pour mieux s'y adapter convenablement
Hi there! My name is Sophia and I relocated from Germany to Edinburgh to live and work there. Because my partner is learning German, I quickly found myself in the position of a language tutor - and it's pretty awesome :) I've always had a talent for language itself, and I'm willing to help anyone who has an intrinsic motivation to learn German or people who need help with translations.
I like to know what I am going to teach in advance so I have plenty of time to plan the session
