I am a friendly German language tutor in Cardiff offering tuition via skype for adult and face-to-face tuition to pupils working towards their GCSE and A-Level exams. Tell me about your qualifications. I have an MA in English, Art History and Philosophy and the PTLLS teaching certificate. How much do you charge? £30 per lesson - if you recommend me you get 50% off your next lesson.
I give lessons to primary school students up to GCSE's, sometimes even A Levels. I base my teaching on my german lessons I had back at school. I can help and improve their range of vocabulary, get them to have the right pronunciation and understand the language written and when spoken.
Hello, I’m a German graduate student in philosophy at the University of Oxford. I was born and raised in Germany and received my first academic degree from the University of Leipzig in Germany.
I'm a third year student at Cardiff University. I'm 20 years old- I still remember and school tests and being told to memorise useless vocabulary lists- so in my teaching, I try to emphasise every-day scenarios so the student can communicate the concepts and ideas confidently rather than rote-learning things you can't apply.
extensive teaching and tutoring experience in 2 countries and 3 languages has made me an intuitive teacher who recognises students' learning styles and tailors lessons to requirements on every occasion. Try this analogy: your new language is a massive jigsaw puzzle and my job is to help you complete the big picture.
I aim to provide engaging and detailed lessons to students at all linguistic levels.
My teaching method is very much word association and role play. I feel this makes classes fun and makes the learning much easier. Lesson plans are structured in units with review and testing once units are completed. Learning is meant to be fun.
I think that the most important thing as a tutor is first to establish a relationship of trust with the student, so that they feel comfortable taking risks during the learning process. Once this in place, I like to walk logically through the key principles of the material, using both visual and aural techniques in order to maximize learning.
Hi there! I'm Sara and I love teaching languages! I have been giving private German and Japanese lessons for a few years now, and have decided to finally offer my services online. The most valuable lesson I have learned myself from teaching many different people is that nobody acquires language, or any knowledge for that matter, via the same ways and methods.
I follow my student´s individual needs. If it is preparing for school (GCSE, A-Level etc.), for a job interview or for conversation. Based on their level, I combine some grammar, vocabulary and conversation each lesson as I believe the best way to learn is to actively speak. The background method I refer to is DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache).
My teaching method is to screen the pupils' homework from school. Based on the content I'll create assignments and working sheets. I also assist them with their homework. I might use some books for my lessons for inspiration. I'll also will give homework to the students.
As I person I am quite open and honest and very positive. I believe that the best way to master any skill (not only languages) is to learn to enjoy it and appreciate the opportunities it gives you. This is why I like giving exaples and creating exercises tailored to each person's specific interests.
I approach my lessons with 3 main focal points. First, the integration of new material in your repertoire should be concise, logical, and therefore connected with existing information. Secondly, the pace of a course should increase exponentially, by starting slowly and becoming more and more intense, as your skills will develop with an equal speed.
Hello all, I am offering qualified German-lessons or private tuition. I am a native speaker of German and have lived in Cologne for more than 20 years. There, I have obtained my A-level and now I am currently an university graduate holding a Bachelor's degree in education. My subjects are English and Sports Science.
I am a second-year student of Language & Linguistics and offer to give lessons in German to anyone who would like to take some. As a native speaker of German and fluent speaker of English, I believe I am qualified to teach on any level necessary. The method of teaching depends on what you would like to focus on.
My teaching method will focus on the conversation and pronunciation like short role-plays, correct use of grammar, reading and listening. I will make a development plan for each student to monitor the progress which will be sent to the parents regularly. Learning another language with a native has the advantage that you will learn about the German culture and the mentality of German people.
I tend to start off by sitting down with the child with a past paper of what they’re working towards (ie SAT/GCSE etc) to see where they struggle. I then try and work on each topic individually until they understand.
I would start off by looking at the lesson materials and assessing the skills of the pupil. From then in I would tailor my lessons to the individual student and see how they learn best. From my experience, the best way to learn a second language is to speak it and to practise your grammar by actually using the language. As a native speaker I can also help with pronunciation and accents.
My teaching methods have been twofold: In the language school, I was teaching small classes via book, homework, individual vocabulary book, tests and conversation. My private conversation tuition was based on talking about everyday as well as chosen subjects. I enjoy helping people and I am a very open, motivated and smiling person who does not need much to break the ice.
My approach to learning a new language is fun, simply said. I am convinced that learning is much easier and joyful if you have a goal (understanding that German podcast you found, or not needing subtitles when you watch a German Youtuber you like), hence I think tailoring lessons around your interests will benefit both of us.
I am a qualified teacher and a proud mother to fabulous a 8-year old who grows up bilingual. I am from Vienna (Austria) but I also lived for a number of years in the German speaking part of Switzerland. My youngest student was 3 years old and my oldest 83.
Teaching is a lot about personality. I will personalize my lessons to fit YOU and your individual language skills. As a native speaker, I am able to teach all levels but have specific German teaching experience at university level.
I am a native German speaker, living in England for the last 17 years with broad experience in teaching in the English secondary system. I am very young by heart and very approachable and very happy to create tailor made lessons to cover your requirements. Recent posts held include teaching from KS3 - A2 classes and I am as well familiar with the IB program syllabus.
My teaching method is each student is different, I am very adaptable and will discuss what works best for my students so that they do not feel stressed or under pressure. I would also try and make each lesson a bit fun as I do understand that sitting listening to somebody talk for an hour can be non- beneficial.
I teach German as if you live in Germany,my lessons are based on the students needs and I am very methodical.I try to make it fun and interesting.
My teaching method is relaxed yet attentive, and I like to move at the student's pace while pushing them to achieve their potential in whatever we are working through together. I strongly believe that being passionate and motivated affects one's performance and quality of learning, and do my best to share my passion for languages with my students.
I'm a student from Germany currently living in the Black Country and looking to give lessons in German as well as helping with translations and accent reductions. I started working as a tutor whilst in high school and have taught and improved grades of students ranging from high school to adults interested in learning German.
My lessons are tailored to your needs and objectives. I take a natural learning approach where you learn through role play as someone would learn the language if he flew over to germany and lived there.
The best way to learn a language is to learn it with a native speaker. I am very patient and I promise you to find the best teaching methodology that fits to you, because everyone has a different method to learn. We can discuss this together.
I can give lessons to anyone as I like to individually taylor my lessons to the clients needs. My general methodology is that you best learn a language by speaking and hearing it. If you are involved in the language and 'have no other choice but speak it' you learn the best. You do not need to be perfect at the start, mistakes are normal. But with the right attitude, anyone can do it.
