About Ed
I am a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Cambridge and I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level, so I understand my subjects well.
I have experience of applying my subjects at university and also in industry, so I have lots of inspiration to draw on for contextualising the content and making it interesting.

I can teach my subjects to GCSE and A-Level students.
I start with the basics, making sure a student understands where the concepts being used come from to ensure a strong understanding of the content. I have plenty of patience to explain more difficult concepts in other ways if necessary.
I then like to teach with examples, using problems to apply the new principles, often to real-life situations.
Once some examples have been worked through, I leave it to the student to practise on some further questions, before a final check of their work and their understanding at the next session.
