I just help the student with what they're struggling with in school. I will try to teach them in a fun but structured and efficient way, so they can learn while enjoying themselves. The students won't be rushed into learning, and I will patiently allow them to work at their own pace.
I look at what needs to be learnt, how much (if any) the student knows and work from there. Anything that is difficult to understand I will find a way to make easier that suits a particular student, for example there are visual learners so I would draw it out etc. To help remember what has been learnt repetition is the best thing. Writing/drawing it out, saying it outloud etc really do work.
