About Sophie
For over 10 years I have gained teaching experience across Dance, Fitness & Sporting Activities. I have worked with young children 121 as well as in groups. I have worked with Adults 121 as well as in groups, too. I have taught in Gyms and in Dance Studios, at University level for Societies, in Schools and Holiday Clubs as well as for privately run dance studios and spaces. I have many dance qualifications, as well as having won many dance competition awards across many dance styles, including jazz, ballet, tap, modern, gymnastics/acrobatics and pole dance. I am trained in Hatha Yoga, have been a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor and continue to perform myself in Dance, Pole, Cabaret and Burlesque. Qualifications: - Fully DBS checked (yearly update service). - Beginner Pole Instructor, Spin City (in-training). - 200hrs Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Certified (trained Classically in India). - BSc Sport, PE and Coaching Science (1:1). - Level 2 Fitness Instructor - Level 3 Personal Trainer and Sports Masseuse. - RAD and ISTD examination certificates from beginner to advanced. - Vocational training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, London (1 year).

I teach a range of styles including: Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Pointe, Technique, Beginner Burlesque, Floorwork and Strength & Conditioning. I teach any ability, age (5 years+), gender and experience level. I am happy to support a range of desired goals whether it be: creating a memorable wedding dance, personal dance goals, GCSE & A-level dance tutoring, technique practice for dance examinations, competition preparation (technique or performance), choreography creation or tutoring to learn to choreograph. One-to-one tutoring includes discovering what goals are desired, how to meet these goals. I plan sessions based around your current ability as a starting point to build from - focusing on what you CAN do, not what you cannot. Confidence building and safe practice is key.

Soph is an incredible choreographer and instructor. They have helped me create pieces in multiple disciplines and styles, and with her help I have placed in national dance competitions. Their focus on technique, musicality and fluidity is perfectly balanced with how fun and collaborative she makes each session. Soph is inclusive, knowledgeable and experienced, and I cannot recommend them enough.
Sophie is truly wonderful teacher. They have knowledge of a range of dance styles and they are able to break down movements and techniques so they can be easily understood. They take care in getting to know their students and their goals.

A genuine and kind person, Soph brings their wide variety of dance and yoga experience into every group and 121 session, ensuring an experience centered around mindfulness and connecting to the body to create something that both looks great and feels great. They are incredibly good at creating/adapting choreography to suit all bodies and abilities and I have always felt completely comfortable and accepted when working with them. I would highly recommend Soph for any and all movement/choreo needs!
