I am a very positive and engaging tutor, I like to understand how my students learn so that I can teach them in the most effective way.
My aim is to give every person I teach the opportunity for growth strength and self confidence. I am very passionate about sharing and exchanging the knowledge and skills I have gathered through all my experiences, with others who have an interest and are keen to learn. When teaching I like to address the human being first and foremost, then the dancer, and then the career/industry.
Each of us has its own pace and personality. Trust my experience as a trainer to find out what is yours and let me lead you into the beautiful world of Street Dance. Street Dance, as we know it, is actually an umbrella term that covers a wide range of different dance styles. It is true to say that Street Dances originated ‘in the street’, but there isn’t a specific style or Street Dance move.
My teaching method is mainly based on the Royal Academy of Dance and in the program. I can give single or group lessons based on these syllabus. Even if I am not following one of those strick syllabus, I can create new lessons, that always start with a warm-up, followed by barre and center work, with the principle of classical english technique.
My teaching method is giving my student something that he wants to do, and working with him to achieve this goal.
I base my classes on dance as therapy (physically, emotionally or spiritually). The movement is story telling and has so much healing power.
I want to have a positive, fun and energetic class. My goal is to make sure the student learns something new every single lesson and that they can always feel confident and comfortable enough in my classes to be themselves and express themselves to the fullest.
"I think that having fun whilst you are learning and exploring dance is key. If you enjoy your dance sessions, you will stay engaged and you will be able to learn so much more about what your body can do. During my sessions, we start with a short warm up before exploring key movement skills, and then we finish with some choreography which is tailored to your dance ability.
I base my classes on gradually developing technique and solving technical issues early before they become habits. I monitor progress regularly and follow a long, medium, and short goal setting approach so that we can achieve realistic and clean milestones while also having endless fun and enjoying all that this amazing art form has to offer.
