About Raqeebah
Hi, I’m Raqeebah — a dedicated and compassionate tutor with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, with a minor in Human Rights. I bring both academic experience and real-world perspective to every session. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, take risks, and develop lasting confidence in their reading and writing skills. As someone who understands the pressure of deadlines, self-doubt, and overwhelming coursework, I meet students with patience, structure, and zero judgment. As a tutor, I focus on meeting each student where they are — academically, emotionally, and personally. I believe writing and reading are powerful tools for self-expression and success, and my approach is rooted in building both skill and confidence.
My teaching method blends structured guidance with student-led exploration. A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity (like a creative prompt or short reading passage), a deep-dive into a skill (essay structure, grammar, reading comprehension, etc.), and time to practice with real feedback and encouragement.
What sets me apart is that I truly care about creating a space where students feel heard, respected, and motivated. I bring patience, energy, and a clear plan to every session, and I never rely on cookie-cutter materials. I tailor everything to the individual student’s needs, goals, and pace.
