About Ashley
I received my B.A. in French Literature and Sociology/Anthropology in 2019 from the University of Puget Sound where I also worked as a French tutor. After earning my degree, I traveled to France where I spent five months teaching English at the primary level. I have thus gained extensive experience cultivating my French language skills in both academic and real-world environments. This fall, I will be pursuing an M.A. in French Studies at NYU.

I strongly believe that it is an educator's duty to meet their students where they are at, both in terms of students' learning styles and their understanding of a subject. As a French tutor for undergraduates, I worked to set individual goals with my students to build their conversation skills, written expression and comprehension, and knowledge of grammar, and I find that this is the best way to ensure students get what they want out of their tutoring sessions.
