About Jessica
I began teaching in an after school tutoring program before I graduated high school. I worked on a grant to get my school system funding for tutoring before I turned 18. Once I turned 18 I began teaching my own after school classroom of 2nd graders. From there I became a substitute while in college and a teaching assistant for students who needed individualized learning support. I also worked for a company who helped children with severe behavioral issues. I became a lead teacher of High School Spanish in 2012 and began teaching History soon after that. Through the ears I have worked with a diverse population and made it a goal to provide the best support and instruction I could. I have learned a lot and I want to continue to learn with each child I teach as well as professional development classes.

I have 10 years of teaching experience with grades ranging from 5th to 12th grade. I have a minor in Spanish and a major in History. I have experience teaching both. Each learner is different and, therefore, needs support that is individualized. I will work to discover how to best support you in your learning.
