I tailor sessions according to the individual needs of the client, drawing on my expertise acquired in 15 years working in the industry, and as an educator. I talk to the individual about their aims, priorities and ambitions, and practically assess performance skills. I give verbal and written notes on performance, suggest further reading, exercises and can assist with selection of audition texts. For stand-ups I can attend preview performances and give extensive notes on both performance and arrangement of material.
I am a director with 15 years experience working in Theatre, Stand-Up Comedy and Science Communication. I have directed on the BA Acting Courses at RADA and East 15, and been an audition panellist at Drama Centre for over a decade. I have a degree in English from Cambridge University and trained with John Barton at the RSC. I am Artistic Director of Io Theatre Company.
