About David
David Peredun is a drummer and educator located in Sault Ste. Marie ON. David attended Algoma University where he received the Award of Excellence when he graduated top of his class in 2018, receiving a BA of Music.
With a decade of experience on his instrument, David has accumulated a large variety of knowledge and expertise regarding drumming of many styles including jazz, funk, RnB, metal and rock. He is an active performer with several groups including Treble Charger, Pointless, Tritone, Jacob Valois Trio, TurboDad, Hollow Sky, FULLER and several other projects.
As a session player, David has been recorded on several records. David has worked with Dustin Jones at Mission Control Studios, Dustin Goodall at Unsalted Audio and Greig Nori at The Loft.
From working with students of all ages to instructing percussion at the university level, David has a personalized approach to teaching. He believes that everyone’s needs are different, and works diligently to plan a path that suits each individual’s specific goals.

No two people are the same, and therefore everyone deserves an equally unique experience while learning. Lessons begin with an evaluation of your technical and theoretical proficiency, and an analysis of your goals as a drummer. Topics include technique, ergonomics, performance philosophy, theory and unique time keeping applications. I cover many genres of playing, but my forte lies in metal and jazz.
In addition to lessons, if you purchase a lesson package, I will be available for video check-ins throughout the week via WhatsApp to ensure that you aren't "left out to dry" if you have any questions about your progress.
Whether you are an aspiring professional drummer or just want to have some fun learning a new instrument, you will have a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Online lessons are booked through my website, and hosted weekly via ZOOM.
