About Angie
Hey, my name is Angie, and I'm passionate about helping others learn and grow, especially when it comes to history! I'm currently completing my degree in criminal justice at TCC, and through my studies, I've developed strong research and critical thinking skills that I bring into my tutoring sessions. I have over eight years of experience working with children and young adults, which has taught me how to explain ideas in a clear, patient, and encouraging way. History isn't JUST something I teach, it's something I truly love. Whether you need help preparing for a test, understanding difficult topics or simply want to have a good convo about the past, I'm here to support you!

As a history tutor, I believe in making the subject come alive through conversation, critical thinking, and connections to real-world events. My approach is flexible, depending on the student's needs. Whether you're studying for a test, working on an essay, or just trying to understand a time period better. I focus on building strong foundational knowledge first, then helping students develop their own ideas and arguments. Unlike many tutors who just repeat facts or focus only on memorization, I encourage real understanding and passion for history. I am very approachable, you don't have to feel nervous asking questions, even if you think they're "basic." I am genuinely excited about history and can make even complicated topics feel easier and more interesting. Plus, I'm happy to talk about history outside of lessons.
