About Harriet
I am a masters student at the University of Manchester, with lots of academic experience and achievement. Alongside being academically successful, I whole-heartedly understand how difficult exam stress, 11+ preparation and pre-university can be.
At iGCSE, I attained grades in 9 subjects A*-B. Those to mention that I am happy to provide tutoring for; Maths (B+) English Language and Literature (A) Philosophy (A)
A-Levels; Philosophy (A) Psychology (B) English (A)
I went to the University of Bristol for my undergraduate (so I am more than happy to help with personal statement writing as I recognise this can be a stressful time!) and I continue my academic learning whilst being at the University of Manchester for my masters (Psychology of Education PGT)
More importantly however, I am a patient and kind individual. In our sessions together, my main aim will to ensure you are comfortable throughout and create a space in which you feel comfortable to ask questions. As a supportive and caring individual I am here to help, and our sessions together will build your confidence and equip you with the knowledge you need!

I have experience teaching English as a foreign language to Italian children from 6y/o to 11 y/o, as well as working as a teaching assistant in three schools at KS1 level. My teaching methodology are based on skillsets I have learnt over the years of academia. I am aware that one methodology does not suit all, so lesson's will be created by first establishing how you learn best. I offer lessons from 35 minutes to 1 hour. Methodology will also be dependant on as to why you are seeking support. For example, if preparing for an exam, methodology will be guided through equipping you with memory retention and consolidation skills, as well as practicing exam style questions alongside my guidance. Whereas if you are looking for help with a personal statement for example, this will be guided through a process of proof-reading, back and forth advice inclusive of where to improve and grammatical corrections.
Lesson's with me will involve establishing your age and goals, which I can then cater personalised lessons to ensure your needs are met. I can offer one off lesson's, alongside the opportunity to continue lessons if you feel happy and would like to.
